Woah. Got ready for a run today and turned around and went back into the comfort of my air conditioned apartment. Check out the stats:

Ottawa ON
Temperature: 30C
Feels Like: 38C
Wind: 19km/h
Wind gusts: 33km/h
Relative Humidity: 55%

I'll jog in the rain, in the cold, even in the wind. Feels like 38C with a Severe Thunderstorm watch later on today. Screw that.

Hi Taylor,
I found your blog at Complete Running Network. Your title "Team Diabetes" intrigued me as I am diabetic and training for the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, DC (that would be one of the other North American capitals). Why did you choose to raise money for diabetes research? Thanks for doing it.

You can see my training blog at www.AdventuresofRussellandGreg.com.

I ran a race last weekend in Mississiqua. Temp was 26. Felt pretty cool to me. I do most of my running at 6 am before it really gets hot. Don't give your runs because of the heat - just stay well hydrated and SLOW down.
